4/8/05 > Long Beach 3 @ Fresno 1
The Ice Dogs clinched the second seed in the first round of the playoffs by defeating Fresno by a score of 3-1 on Friday night. The Falcons scored first just 4:38 into the game, but the Ice Dogs responded with three unanswered goals by Evan Cheverie, Matt Shasby, and an empty net goal by Mike Vellinga to finish the game. Long Beach went 2-5 on the power play, as Fresno went 0-7. Olivier Michaud earned the win with 36 saves.
4/9/05 > Long Beach 4 @ Fresno 5 (OT)
In the final regular season game of the season, the Long Beach Ice Dogs fell to the Fresno Falcons in overtime, 5-4. The Ice Dogs jumped out to a 4-1 lead with goals by Evan Cheverie, Marco Rosa, Steeve Villeneuve and Michael Lambert, before Fresno scored three unanswered to tie it up at 15:58 of the third period. At 3:12 of the overtime period, Sam Ftorek of the Falcons scored the game winner. Sebastien Centomo made 33 saves for Long Beach, which finished with 95 points in the West Division.

4/13/05 > Long Beach vs. Idaho (Game 1) (off-site game played in El Segundo, CA)
The Ice Dogs will return to the playoffs for the first time in three seasons and the first time ever since joining the ECHL. Wednesday night will be Game 1 of their first round playoff series with the defending Kelly Cup Champion Idaho Steelheads. The Ice Dogs went 4-5-0 versus the Steelheads this season. The first round series will be a best-of-5.
4/15/05 > Long Beach vs. Idaho (Game 2)
The Ice Dogs and Steelheads will play Game 2 of their opening round series at the Long Beach Arena Friday night at 7:30 PM.
4/16/05 > Long Beach @ Idaho (Game 3)
On Saturday the Ice Dogs will head to Idaho to take on the Steelheads in Game 3 of their playoff series.
4/17/05 > Long Beach @ Idaho (Game 4 â if necessary)
If a Game 4 is necessary, the Ice Dogs will play the Steelheads on Sunday night in Boise.
