Kelly Cup Playoffs Begin Thursday and Friday At Home
Ice Pilots End Regular season with wins vs. Mississippi. The Ice Pilots won both games this past week defeating Mississippi in Biloxi on Friday night in a 5-4 shootout and winning at home vs. Mississippi on Saturday night 1-0.
Nick Lindberg scored two goals in the game for the Ice Pilots on Friday night. Jordan Krestanovich and Alex Materukhin also scored goals for the Ice Pilots. Fredric Cloutier was the winning goalie. Jeff Hutchins scored two goals for Mississippi. The Ice Pilots out shot Mississippi 34-33. Frederic Cloutier was the winning as he stopped four of five shooters in the shoot out. Phil Sauve picked up the shootout loss in goal for the Sea Wolves.
The Ice Pilots won 1-0 vs. Mississippi on Saturday night in front of 6,672 fans at "The Hangar ". Nick Lindberg scored the only goal of the game. The Ice Pilots had 41 shots on goal and Mississippi had 38. Frederic Cloutier was the winning goalie posting his five shutout of the season. Phil Sauve was the losing goalie for the Sea Wolves.
The Ice Pilots finish the regular season as Brabham Cup Champions with a record of 51-16-5 for 107 points. The Ice Pilots are only the sixth team in ECHL history to have 50 or more wins during the regular season.

Th! ursday and Friday Night Promotions. WEAR TV 3/Rebuild Northwest Florid a Night on Friday Night. Season ticket holders will have the opportunity to have their picture taken and autographed with Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr after the Ice Pilots first home playoff game on Thursday night with the Brabham Cup. It is for season ticket holders only. WEAR TV 3 is sponsoring the game on Friday night for Rebuild Northwest Florida. The first 1,000 fans will receive rally towels at the game on Friday night sponsored by WEAR TV 3. Two front row tickets to see Kenny Rogers perform in concert at the Pensacola Civic Center on Sunday, April 17th at 7:30 p.m. will be raffled off during the game to benefit Rebuild Northwest Florida. Also, Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr, along with the help of WEAR TV 3, will donate a portion of the ticket sales of Friday night's game to Rebuild Northwest Florida.
First Two Home Kelly Cup Playoff Home Games are Thursday, April 14th and Friday, April 15th are on Sale. Individual game playoff tickets are on sale for the first two home Kelly Cup Playoff games. Home Game A is Thursday, April 14th and Home Game B is Friday, April 15th. Cost of individual home playoff tickets are $24 for glass seats, $17 for side seats, $15 for goals and lower upper seats and $12 for upper level seats, plus any applicable convenient charge.
Fans can purchase individual Kelly Cup Playoff tickets in person at the Civic Center box office, at any Ticketmaster location, Charge by Phone at 434-7444 or through the Ice Pilots website at www.icepilots.com. A group of 15 or more can call the Ice Pilots office for group playoff tickets at 432-7825.
Ice Pilots defeated Greenville 4-2 on November 27th at home this season in the only meeting between the two teams. Nick Lindberg, Dominc D'Amour, David Turon and Tyler Beechey scored goals for the Ice Pilots. Carl Mallette and Krys Barch scored goals for Greenville. The Ice Pilots had 28 shots on goal, 22 penalty minutes and went 1-3 on the power play. Greenville had 27 shots on goal, 19 penalty minutes and went 0-3 on the power play. Todd Ford was the winnin g goalie for the Ice Pilots and Mike Morrison was the losing goalie for Greenville. Morrison started the game and stopped 19 out of 22 shots and was relieved by Mike Brodeur stopping 5 out of 6 shots. The Ice Pilots have an all time regular season record of 5-4-0 vs. Greenville including a record of 3-2-0 at home and 2-2-0 on the road.
New Plan offer for 2005-2006 Season Tickets: The Early Bird Renewal for season tickets is over however Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr was very pleased with the response and there is a new plan offer which will last as long as the Ice Pilots are playing hockey through out the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Fans can put down a $50 deposit and will not have to pay the rest of the balance until September 1st. Tentative Practice Schedule: The Ice Pilots will practice at the Civic Center Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. The Ice Pilots will have! a pre skate on Thursday at 10 a.m. and play home to Greenville on Thursday night at 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots will have a pre skate on Friday at 10 a.m. and play home to Greenville on Friday at 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots will play at Greenville on Saturday night at 6:05 p.m. central time. If game four is necessary it will be played Tuesday, April 19 at Greenville at 6:05 p.m. central time. If game five is necessary it will be played on Thursday, April 21 at home at 7:05 p.m.
Leading Scorers: Jordan Krestanovich finished the regular season as the top scorer for the Ice Pilots with 68 points. Aaron Phillips and Tyler Beechey finished second with 67 points. Phillips led the team with 52 assists which was third best in the league. Phillips also had the best plus/minus rating in the ECHL at +36. Beechey finished tied for first in the league with 9 game winning goals and 4 shorthanded assists. Corey Neilson finished tied for first in the league with 33 power play points. Frederic! Cloutier finished tied for first in the league among goalies with 32 wins and third with 1,417 saves. Cloutier also finished second in the league with 5 shutouts and 12th with a 2.37 goals against average. Todd Ford finished with the ninth best goals against average at 2.32. Mark Rooneem had the fifth best shooting percentage among rookies at .152. Corey Neilson ended the regular season as the top scoring defenseman in the league with 62 points. Neilson also led all defenseman with 18 goals, 44 assists, 10 power play goals, 5 game winning goals and was second with 247 shots. He also was second among defenseman with 23 power play assists and tied for first with 33 power play points.
Dodge Player of the Week: Nick Lindberg has been nominated for the ECHL player of the week scoring 3 goals in the two games last week. Frederic Cloutier has been nominated as the goalie of the week winning both games over the weekend including his fifth shutout of the year. Cloutier has been named the Dodge Player of the Week.
Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed will ! be sponsoring the Ice Pilots leading scorer award this season. Jordan Krestanovich ends up with 68 points to lead Ice Pilots in regular season. During the season, we will be updating you with the Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed Ice Pilots top scorer. At the end of the season, Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed will present a trophy to the Ice Pilots top scorer. Assigned Players from Toronto Maple Leafs: The Ice Pilots currently have nine players on the roster assigned from Toronto. They are goalie Todd Ford, forward Scott May, defenseman Dominic D'Amour, center Chris St. Jacques, center Kris Newbury, defenseman Tyson Marsh, center Cory Stillman, forward Robb Palahnuk and left wing Cam Keith. Kerr's Kids: For the second season in a row the Ice Pilots are introducing "Kerr's Kids." Thanks to Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr and SMG (Pensacola Civic Center), the Ice Pilots would like to invite organizations devoted to helping children who are terminally ill or have special limitations to be our guest during the 2004-05 regular season for a great night of hockey. Each organization is encouraged to pick 3-4 dates throughout the regular season. The Ice Pilots will provide free admission for 12 people (We would like to have at least 6 or more children, escorts are required for the children and are counted as part of the 12). SMG will provide a hot dog and soda for each guest. If accessible seating is needed the Ice Pilots must be notified at least 2 days in advance and seating will be arranged. All members must stay in assigned seats. Please provide a list of attendee's 24 hours prior to game day. Ice Pilots Offer Pay-Per-View Webcasts with B2 Networks this season. The Ice Pilots home games and several road games will be available for viewing on the Ice Pilots website at www.icepilots.com. The Ice Pilots have partnered with B2 Networks based in Las Vegas, Nevada on the pay-per-view broadcast.
Fans will be able to click on the "Watch the Game Live" icon at the Ice Pilots website to view and listen to the game. The broadcast is available to fans with a high speed DSL or Cable modem internet connection and the charge is $6 per game. At this time a total of 58 of the Ice Pilots 72 regular season games will be available for viewing at www.icepilots.com. Both games on Thursday and Friday will be available as a pay per view webcast offer. Saturday night's game at Greenville will not be available as a pay per view webcast as Greenville does not have the B2 Network hook up.
