
Titans perfect in final week of regular season

TRENTON, NJ - The Trenton Titans completed their final week of the 2004-05 regular season by going a perfect 4-for-4 in games played.
The Titans began the week by edging the Dayton Bombers 2-1 on Tuesday at the Nutter Center. With this win and a loss by the Peoria Rivermen, Trenton was able to clinch a berth in the 2005 Kelly Cup Playoffs. It was another 2-1 victory for the Titans as they defeated the Wheeling Nailers on Thursday at Sovereign Bank Arena. Trenton extended their winning streak to three games on Friday, downing the Johnstown Chiefs 5-2 at Cambria County War Memorial. The Titans made it four in a row and secured home-ice advantage for the first round of the playoffs by shutting out the Toledo Storm 3-0 on the final night of the regular season.
The Trenton Titans begin their quest for the Kelly Cup with a first round match-up against the their intra-state rival, the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies. The series gets underway on Wednesday, April 13 at 7:00pm at Sovereign Bank Arena. Game 2 takes place on Friday, April 15 at 7:30pm at SBA. The Titans then travel to Boardwalk Hall for Game 3 on Sunday, April 17 at 4:05pm.

- Tim Judy's power play goal in the third period helped put the Titans ahead of the Dayton Bombers 2-1. Andrew Allen would help Trenton's lead stand up by making 23 saves on 24 shots, recording his 27th win of the year. Brent Robinson extended his point scoring streak to six-games with two assists in the contest.

- For the second consecutive game, Trenton was able to hold on for a one-goal victory. B.J. Abel lit the lamp in the second stanza while Brent Robinson put the puck past Joe Exter to give the Titans a two-goal cushion over the Wheeling Nailers. Ed McGrane made it interesting by notching a shorthanded goal later in the third, but Andrew Allen stopped all but one of the Nailers' 33 shots to clinch the win.
Friday, April 8 @ Johnstown, W 5-2
Cambria County War Memorial
- Five different Titans tallied goals in a 5-2 win over the Johnstown Chiefs. After David Bowman drew first blood 3:32 into the game, Les Haggett and Bryce Cockburn each scored to help Trenton to a 2-1 lead after one. Rick Kowalsky's breakaway goal 4:24 into the second period proved to be the game-winner in what was a three-goal period for the Titans. Trenton did not allow a power play goal for the third game in a row.

- The line of Les Haggett, Rick Kowalsky and Brent Robinson continued their torrid pace combining for 8 points and all goals in a 3-1 win over the Toledo Storm. Kowalsky's goal at 13:33 of the first period proved to be the game-winner as Andrew Allen notched his 30th win of the year as turned away all 28 shots he faced.
