Dagenais Named to ECHL 2nd Team

The ECHL announced today that Gladiators defenseman Randy Dagenais has been named to the All-ECHL second team as determined in a vote of ECHL coaches.

In his second professional season, Dagenais began his professional career with the Gladiators last year appearing in 5 games with Gwinnett before being traded to the Greenville Grrrowl. Dagenais finished the season with 5 goals and 13 assists for 18 points.

The Valrita, Ontario native was acquired from Greenville by the Louisiana Ice Gators before being traded to the Gladiators on Feb. 7, 2005. With Louisiana, Dagenais appeared in 43 games this season recording 9 goals and 23 assists for 32 points.

Currently, Dagenais ranks fourth among ECHL defensemen and sixth among the Gladiators in scoring, with 47 points from 14 goals and 33 assists. His 14 goals shares third among ECHL defensemen.

The Central Division Champion Gwinnett Gladiators continue their second season at the Arena at Gwinnett Center on Friday, April 8th against the Augusta Lynx at 7:35 p.m. The Gladiators offer several ticket packages for different needs as well as group outings, suites and birthday parties.
