Last Weeks Highlights:
2/10/04 > Long Beach 3 @ San Diego 4
Though the Ice Dogs did not beat the Gulls, they did manage a hard earned point against their rivals in a shootout. Dan Vandermeer, Nick Ganga, and Mike Ouellet each scored for Long Beach, which led 2-1 and 3-2 in the game. All three Ice Dogs goals came on the powerplay and T.J. Aceti made 35 saves, including 16 in the first period.
2/11/04 > Long Beach 2 vs. Alaska 3
Trailing the Aces for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Pacific Division, the Ice Dogs fell 3-2 Wednesday in a hard-fought one goal game. Kevin McDonald and Mike Ouellet scored for Long Beach, who fell to Alaska for the fifth time this year. Both teams were scoreless in the third period and the Ice Dogs held the Aces to 19 total shots for the game.
2/13/04 > Long Beach 6 @ Bakersfield 5 (SO)
The Ice Dogs beat the condors Friday night, scoring six goals for the first time since November 5th in a 6-4 win versus Florida. The game went back and forth with both teams trading the lead. Newcomer Martin Paquet had four assists and Mike Ouellet and Jerome Marois each had two goals and an assist. Long Beach held Bakersfield to just 17 shots for the game and now leads the season series 4-3.
2/14/04 > Long Beach 5 @ Las Vegas 4
The Ice Dogs won for the second straight time in Las Vegas, making them 5-1-1 in their last 7 road games. Jerome Marois and Mike Ouellet both had three points again and Colin Zulianello earned the win making 36 saves. After trailing 2-0 after the first, the Ice Dogs rattled off four goals in the second. Alex Kim scored the game winner midway through the final frame to give the Ice Dogs their second consecutive win.
2/15/04 > Long Beach 4 @ Las Vegas 6
Going for their third straight road win and second in two nights against the Wranglers, the Ice Dogs came up short. Las Vegas jumped out to a 5-1 lead after the first period but Long Beach made a valiant comeback attempt, bringing the score to within 5-3. Alex Kim had three points (2g, 1a) and T.J. Aceti made 27 saves after coming in to relieve Zulianello in the first period.

2/20/04 > Long Beach @ Alaska
The Ice Dogs will continue their six game road trip Friday night when they travel north to take on the Alaska Aces. So far this season, Long Beach is 0-4-1 versus Alaska, with the only point coming in a 2-1 overtime loss at Alaska on December 3rd. It will be the first of a three game series in Anchorage over the weekend.
2/21/04 > Long Beach @ Alaska
Long Beach and Alaska face each other for the second straight night on Saturday. The Ice Dogs currently trail the Aces for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Pacific Division.
2/22/04 > Long Beach @ Alaska
The Ice Dogs and Aces will play their final game of a three game series Sunday night. The game will conclude a six game road trip for the Ice Dogs who will return home to play the Las Vegas Wranglers on Wednesday.
