FLORENCE, SC â The Florence Pride, proud members of the ECHL, announced today that the team will be in attendance for tomorrow night's Francis Marion University mens' basketball game at the Smith University Center. The Patriots host Lander University at 7:30 p.m., immediately following the women's game, also against Lander.
The Patriot men lead the Peach Belt Conference's North Division with an 11-1 record. Francis Marion is 21-2 overall this season, and was ranked 15th in last week's NCAA Division II poll.
The Pride players will be introduced to the crowd during halftime of the game. In addition, fans will have the opportunity to get autographs from the players, and also have the chance to win Pride tickets and merchandise.
"The entire team is looking forward to going out to the game tomorrow night," Pride head coach Perry Florio said. "It is great that we have a nationally-ranked team right here in our backyard. They deserve the support of the entire community."
Florence is home for a pair of games this weekend. Saturday night, the Pride host the Florida Everblades at 7:30 p.m. on NASCAR Night presented by Darlington Raceway.
