Falcons and Heald College Raise Money for the Zoo Society

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Falcons have teamed with Heald College to raise money for The Chaffee Zoo Society. The team will open Save Mart Center's balcony during their game on Feb. 27 against the Bakersfield Condors and donate $5 from every $10 balcony seat sold to the Fresno Zoological Society.

The $10 balcony seats are currently only available at Heald College, The Chaffee Zoo Gift Shop, the Fresno Zoo Society and at the Falcons front office. For more information, call 485-PUCK (7825).

Performing at the game on Feb. 27 will be the Zooperstars, a zany mascot dance troupe that combines famous athletes and animals into such characters as Shaquille O'Seal, Derek Cheetah, Jeff Gordog, Mia Hammster, Peyton Mannatee and Mario Lemule.

The Falcons complete a season-long, six-game homestand during their next game on Friday, Feb. 20, when they host the Las Vegas Wranglers at 7 p.m. The first 1,000 fans will receive a Falcons t-shirt courtesy of Tony Roma's, while every fan in attendance will receive Mardi Gras beads in recognition of the annual New Orleans celebration taking place over the weekend.

Tickets to the game on Feb. 20 can be purchased directly at Save Mart Center 's Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets, which include select Save Mart Supermarkets, Tower Records, Wherehouse Music and Ritmo Latino locations, charged by phone at 485-TIXS or bought online by clicking the Ticketmaster icon throughout www.fresnofalcons.com.
