Hurricanes Assign Helminen And Rodney To Albany

RALEIGH, NC-Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, announced today that the team has assigned forward Dwight Helminen and defenseman Bryan Rodney to the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League.

The Hurricanes now have 28 players in training camp heading into the team's final exhibition game against Nashville on Sunday at the RBC Center. Please also be advised that the team's practice on Saturday, Oct. 4, has been moved to 9 a.m. at the RBC Center to avoid a traffic conflict with the 12 p.m. N.C. State football game at Carter-Finley Stadium.
