Cedar Rapids Kernels News Release
The Kernels return to Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium and open a three game series against the Peoria Chiefs, the Midwest League affiliate of the Chicago Cubs.

One lucky Kernels fan, age 18 and older, could win $10,000 on Mix 96.5 FM/WMT AM 600 Winning Wednesday. If the Kernels perform a certain feat on the field in a particular inning, such as hit for the cycle as a team, or the shortstop makes all three outs in an inning. Gates open at 5:30 pm and the Kernels take on the Chiefs at 6:35 pm.
The Kernels team up wit the African American Museum to pay tribute to baseball pioneer Jackie Robinson on Jackie Robinson Night. It's also a 100.7 The Fox Thirsty Thursday where 12 oz. draft beer is $1.50 and fans can get 20 oz. bottles of soda and water for just $2. Game time is 6:35 pm and the gates open at 5:30.
The short home stand wraps up this Friday when the Kernels take on the Chiefs at 6:35 pm. The Kernels welcome special guests from Kenwood Elementary, Regis Middle School and Van Buren Elementary for their nights at the stadium. It's also a Rock 108 FM Progressive Beer Friday where 16 oz. draft beer starts at $1 when the gates open and goes up $1 each hour until reaching full price. Gates open at 5:30 pm.

104.5 KDAT Sunday Family Fun Day: Every Sunday home game, enjoy selected snacks for $1. Fans can get autographs from the Kernels players on the concourse from 1:20 to 1:40 pm. The Kernels Ticket Office is open from 10 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday and from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday. The ticket office is closed on Sunday, but opens at 11 am on Kernel Sunday Home games.
