Hitmen Close Regular Season With 8-1 Win Over Red Deer

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen finished the 2009/10 Western Hockey League Regular Season with a league best 107 points following Sunday afternoon's 8-1 home ice win over Red Deer.

Brandon Kozun had four assists to capture the Bobby Clarke Trophy as the league's Top Scorer with 107 points, one more than Jordan Eberle of the Regina Pats.

Joel Broda and Kris Foucault each scored twice while Michael Stone, Ben Wilson, Del Cowan and Justin Kirsch added singles.

Michael Snider made 22 saves to record the win.

Calgary finishes the season with a record of 52-17-1-2.

They will open the Western Hockey League Playoffs this week with a pair of home games against the Moose Jaw Warriors.

Game one of their best-of-seven Eastern Conference Quarter-Final Series goes Thursday night at the Pengrowth Saddledome. Game two is Saturday night. Both are 7pm starts.
