Mitch Wahl was named the Spokane Chiefs Player of the Year and Jared Spurgeon won a pair of awards, the Player's Player and the Ken Rabel Most Sportsmanlike Player of the Year, in a pre-game ceremony on Sunday night prior to the Chiefs Coca-Cola Regular Season Finale, a 3-2 win over Everett. The Chiefs also presented Wahl with an award as the team's leading scorer and recognized Kyle Beach after he became the first Chief in 17 seasons to score 50 goals in a single season.

Jared Cowen was named the John "Hitman" Hern Defenseman of the Year and Tyler Johnson won the Humanitarian of the Year for the second straight season. Brady Brassart took home a pair of awards, Rookie of the Year and Scholastic Player of the year.

In his fourth season on the WHL Wahl set a career high with 96 points, seventh in the WHL, including 66 assists, third in the WHL. Wahl finished his regular season career third all-time in Chiefs history for career assists with 186. Wahl trails Ray Whitney (207) and Pat Falloon (194) on the all-time list. In his last 28 games, Mitch Wahl had 13 goals and 46 points. He was named the WHL Player of the Week on February 22nd. In his career, Wahl climbed up to the following spots on the franchise's all-time list; goals (98-14th), assists (186- third), points (284- 6th) and games played (273- 11th).

Spurgeon also finished the season, his fifth with Spokane, with a career high in points. In 54 games, he had 8 goals, 43 assists and 51 assists. The 20-year-old has played 266 career games in Spokane and has 37 goals, 133 assists, 16th in franchise history, the fourth most for defensemen and 170 points in his five seasons in Spokane. He has won the Chiefs John "Hitman" Hern Defenseman of the Year the previous two seasons. The Player's Player honor was the second straight that he had earned.

Cowen, the 18-year-old Captain of the Team, came back from an injury that finished his season last year to set career highs in all categories, including goals (8), assists (22) and points (30). His +23 led all Chiefs defensemen. In January, Cowen won a silver medal with Team Canada at the World Junior Hockey Championships.

Johnson was named the Humanitarian of the Year after another season of continually giving back to the community he was raised in through numerous endeavors, including KHQ's Success by 6 promotion and relationships with the Children's Miracle Network. In his third season in the WHL, Johnson scored 36 goals, second most on the Chiefs and 71 points, third on the team.

While maintaining a 93% in Advanced Algebra/Trigonometry, Human Biology and Foods/Nutrition, Brassart appeared in 54 games. His nine goals led all Chiefs rookies and 15 points were tied for the most..

The Chiefs will honor the plus-minus award winner and the cumulative season winners of the North Cedar Dental Stars of the Game prior to one of the Chiefs first playoff game.
