Hirschfeld Returns to South Carolina

Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins, in their 21st season in the American Hockey League, announced today that forward Alden Hirschfeld has been returned on loan to the South Carolina Stingrays (ECHL).

This marks Hirschfeld's third return to South Carolina this season. Hirschfeld, 25, has four goals and four assists in 35 games with the Bruins this season. In 18 games with South Carolina this season, the 6'1", 206-pound forward has 4-4-8 totals.

Hirschfeld is a four-year product of Miami University (Ohio) where he recorded 70 points on 35 goals and 35 assists. As a team tri-captain in 2011-12, the forward was one of only three players who skated in all 41 games for the RedHawks. He scored a collegiate-best 12 goals and 14 assists for 26 points during his junior season.

The Bruins return to The Dunk on Friday, April 12 versus the Hershey Bears. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. for Kids T-Shirt Night. The first 1,000 kids 12&under will receive a free t-shirt courtesy of Graphic Ink.
