Jets Reassign Patrice Cormier to IceCaps

The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have reassigned forward Patrice Cormier to the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League.

Cormier, 22, played in 10 games with the Jets and recorded seven penalty minutes since being recalled on March 13/13. He will return to the IceCaps where he has played in 32 games so far this season. In that time, the left-handed centre has recorded 11 points (7G, 4A) and 60 penalty minutes.

Cormier has now played in 40 career NHL games between Atlanta and Winnipeg for two career points (1G, 1A) and 11 penalty minutes. He was originally drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the second round, 54th overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
