Fans Choice Award Makes Its Return

IceCaps fans can have their say in creating a piece of history by backing their favourite player in the annual Fans Choice Award vote.
This year, one lucky voter will be chosen to present the award to the winning player at the IceCaps' home finale on April 14 vs. the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The winner will also receive a pair of tickets to the game.
Beginning Wednesday, April 3, fans can log onto the team's Facebook page (facebook.com/stjohnsicecaps) and vote for their favourite IceCaps player. To enter, fans should "Like" the IceCaps' page and click on the "Fans Choice" app, located underneath the main cover photo. Once inside the app, users can choose their favourite IceCaps player then fill out the form to enter the contest.
Voting closes on Wednesday, April 10. Contest winner will be contacted by Thursday, April 11. Only players who have played in half of the team's games are eligible.
Last season's winner, also decided by fans via social media, was forward Garth Murray, who had 13 points and 112 penalty minutes in 62 games.
