Heat at Rampage Game Preview

Abbotsford Heat News Release

San Antonio, TX - The Abbotsford Heat will look to move back into a playoff spot tonight in their final visit to the AT&T Center in San Antonio to play the Rampage (Florida Panthers). Today marks the first time all season the Heat will play a game while not occupying a playoff spot since the first game of the season in Cleveland.

Currently the Heat sit in ninth in the Western Conference with 70 points - just two back of the fourth place Chicago Wolves - while the Rampage also have 70 points, but have played two fewer contests. Just four points separate eight teams vying for the final six playoff spots in the Conference. A win for the Heat with some help on the out-of-town scoreboard could see the club finish the night as high as fourth in the Conference with just a dozen games remaining in their 76 game regular season schedule.

The season series with the Rampage has seen three lopsided wins, and two tight contests. The Heat opened the season series in San Antonio with a 4-0 win, before the Rampage bounced back with 5-0 and 3-1 decisions, to take both games in BC thus far in the season series. The last two games were both hosted in San Antonio and saw the Heat win 5-0 and lose 2-1 at the AT&T Center.

Tonight's game begins at 5:00 PDT and can be heard be heard in its entirety on theAHL.com starting with the 4:45 pre-game show. Country 107.1 FM will join the broadcast at 5:00; the game can be also heard on Country 107.1's website, and on the Rogers Radio App for your wireless device.
