BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators kicked off a weekend of three games in as many nights with a 4-2 win over the Albany Devils on Friday at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.

Andre Petersson scored a pair of goals, including the game winner, to lead the Binghamton offense and earn first star honors.

Following a scoreless first period, Petersson found the back of the net at 2:14 of the second to put the Senators on the board.

The Devils answered with a pair of goals to take a 2-1 lead into the second intermission. Tim Sestito tipped a puck up and over the gloved arm of B-Sens netminder Mike McKenna on an Albany power play to tie the game at one at 13:01 of the period. Eric Gelinas then wired one past a screened McKenna to claim a 2-1 lead for the Devils with just 14.3 seconds remaining in the middle frame.

The B-Sens would tie the game up once more 1:27 into the final period. Mike Hoffman dropped a pass to blue liner Craig Schira, who then blasted a shot in from the right faceoff dot, beating the Devils Jeff Frazee blocker side to knot the game at two.

Petersson put the B-Sens back out on top as his second of the night found its way from the right circle to the back of the net at 5:47.

David Dziurzynski would add some insurance for Binghamton as he made his way onto the scoresheet with a goal at 14:53.

McKenna made 32 saves to earn the win and improve to 14-17-1 on the season. Frazee turned aside 32 shots as he fell to 10-15-2.

Binghamton ended the night 0-for-4 with the man advantage and 5-for-6 on the penalty kill.
