Crunch to Host Second-Annual Pucks for Paws on Friday, March 23

Syracuse, NY (March 16, 2012) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they will host the second-annual Pucks for Paws night at the club's home game vs. St. John's on Friday, March 23 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for 'Pucks for Paws' are available for $15 for humans and $5 for dogs. All proceeds from the dog tickets will benefit the Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation. Humans and dogs will be able to sit together in the stage section of the arena. All dogs must be escorted by their owners at all times.

There will also be limited edition 'Pucks for Paws' mystery pucks to be sold for $10 with the proceeds benefiting the Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation. The exclusive 'Pucks for Paws' pucks will feature the 'Pucks for Paws' logo on one side and the Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation logo on the other, each puck will be signed by a member of the Syracuse Crunch.

The Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation is a not-for-profit organization started in 2008 by Central New York's meteorologist Wayne Mahar in honor of his mother, who, like Wayne, was an animal lover. Through various events, the Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation raises and distributes money to animal welfare organizations throughout Central New York.The Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation supports organizations that help provide unfortunate animals with a second chance of a better life.

Donations go to shelters, humane societies, animal adoption agencies, etc. in the state of New York.

The Crunch will return home to face Rochester at the War Memorial on March 16. Both season tickets and single game tickets can be purchased either in person at the Crunch Box Office located at the War Memorial on 800 South State Street in Syracuse, or by calling the office at (315) 473- 4444.
