Heat at Admirals Game Preview

February 24, 2012 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Abbotsford Heat News Release

Milwaukee, WI - The Abbotsford Heat will look to extend their point streak to four games tonight as they close out their four-game season-series with the Milwaukee Admirals (Nashville Predators) at the Bradley Arena. Tonight is the game of the Heat's twelve-day road trip through the Midwest Division that will return the club to the Fraser Valley for 14 of their final 20 games of the regular season.

Leland Irving is back with the Heat after being reassigned by the Flames to Abbotsford after two call-ups that have seen Irving get just two starts since December 3rd with the Heat. With three games in three days this weekend Irving will be leaned upon to pick up where he left off prior to the call-ups as one of the top net-minders in the AHL. Irving's last two starts came on back-to-back nights in Rochester following the AHL All-Star break; those games were Irving's first since December 3rd when he earned a win in Rockford.

Line-mates Ben Walter and Adam Estoclet are the hottest players heading in to the Heat's 53rd game of the season. Estoclet has played four games as a member of the Heat and has five assists to his credit in the last three. Walter meanwhile has four of his eleven goals this season in his last four games played, the 27-year-old has an assist over that stretch as well.

The Heat follow tonight's game against the Admirals with their final visit to Chicago on Saturday, before a second battle with the Peoria Rivermen on Sunday. Abbotsford will close out this five-game road trip through the Midwest Division with their final meeting of the season with the Rockford IceHogs on Tuesday.

Tonight's game can be heard in its entirety online at theAHL.com, with Country 107.1 FM in joining the broadcast at 5:00 PST following the 4:45 pre-game show. The game can be also heard on Country 107.1's website, and is available via the Rogers Radio App on your wireless device.
