
P-Bruins Rally to Defeat Sharks 5-3

Glens Falls, NY - The Providence Bruins scored four times in the third period to rally and defeat the Worcester Sharks 5-3 Saturday evening at the DCU Center. The P-Bruins got their goals from Maxime Sauve, Kirk MacDonald, Jamie Arniel, Kyle MacKinnon and Jamie Tardif. The P-Bruins return to the Dunkin' Donuts Center Friday at 7:05 p.m. against the Adirondack Phantoms for Kid's T-Shirt Night.
Worcester took a 1-0 lead at the 2:44 mark of the opening period. John McCarthy tallied his 13th goal of the season, while James Livingston and Matt Pelech recorded the assists. Providence tied the game at one at the 7:59 mark, while on the power play. Matt Bartkowski had the puck along the blue line and sent it into the corner for Arniel. He found Sauve on the far side of the net, who scored his fourth goal of the season. The Sharks retook the lead at the 16:46 mark, while on a 5-on-3 power play. Nathan Moon netted his eighth goal of the season, with Jack Combs and Tim Kennedy picking up the assists. Worcester led 2-1 going into the first intermission.
The Sharks made it 3-1 at the 13:58 mark of the second period. Brandon Mashinter scored his 11th goal of the season, while Kennedy had the lone assist. Worcester led 3-1 going into the second intermission.
The P-Bruins pulled within a goal at the 6:30 mark of the third period. MacDonald tallied his third goal of the season, while Arniel and Sauve grabbed the assists. Providence tied the game at three at the 9:15 mark. Arniel netted his sixth goal of the season, with Lane MacDermid and Steven Kampfer getting the assists. The P-Bruins took their first lead of the game at the 13:24 mark. MacKinnon scored his eighth goal of the season, while Bartkowski and Calle Ridderwall came up with the assists. Providence finished off the scoring with an empty net goal at the 19:41 mark. Tardif tallied his 15th goal of the season, with Arniel and Colby Cohen recording the assists. The P-Bruins went onto the 5-3 victory.
Michael Hutchinson stopped 42 of 45 shots for the P-Bruins, while Alex Stalock made 35 saves for the Sharks. The P-Bruins were 1-for-4 on the power play and 1-for-2 on the penalty kill.
The P-Bruins return to The Dunk Friday for Kid's T-Shirt Night presented by Dunkin' Donuts, East Providence Fuel Oil and Graphic Ink at 7:05 p.m. against the Phantoms.
