Blackhawks Sign Hutton, Assign Him to Rockford

Chicago, Ill.-The Chicago Blackhawks have signed goaltender Carter Hutton to a one-year contract and assigned him to the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs.

Hutton, 26, has compiled a 10-8-2 record with one shutout and a .902 save percentage in 23 regular-season tilts with the IceHogs this year, and a 7-7-0 mark in 14 appearances with the ECHL's Toledo Walleye.

The Thunder Bay, Ontario, native has posted a 22-17-2 record with three shutouts and a .904 save percentage in 49 career AHL contests with Rockford, Worcester (2010-11) and Adirondack (2009-10) following a collegiate career at the University of Massachusetts - Lowell.

Next Home Game: Saturday, Feb. 25 vs. Milwaukee Admirals. Game time is slated for 7:05 p.m. Rockford returns home to face the Admirals at the BMO Harris Bank Center. The first 1,500 fans to the game will receive an IceHogs Sock Monkey courtesy of BMO Harris Bank.
