Heat Acquire Corey Locke

Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat announced today that they have acquired centre Corey Locke from the Chicago Wolves.

Locke, a veteran of 609 career AHL games, has amassed 178 goals and 367 assists for 545 points along with 375 penalty minutes. He has netted six goals and 19 assists for 25 points in 36 games this season for the Chicago Wolves. The former AHL MVP helped guide the Binghamton Senators to an AHL Championship during the 2011-12 season.

The Calgary Flames, in a related move, reassigned defenseman Mark Cundari from Abbotsford to the Chicago Wolves for the duration of the 2013-14 season. Cundari will remain the property of the Calgary Flames. In 32 games with the Heat this season, Cundari has scored four goals and added six assists for 10 points along with 45 penalty minutes.
