HARTIGAN SETS FRANCHISE MARK: Left wing Mark Hartigan became the Crunch's all-time leading scorer, scoring his 104th, 105th and 106th goals on Friday night against Albany. On Saturday, he scored his 107th against Binghamton. Hartigan replaces Lonny Bohonos, who had tallied 104 goals in 199 games with Syracuse, as the franchise's most prolific goal scorer. His hat trick against Albany was his fifth with Syracuse (twice against Albany, twice against Hamilton and once against St. John's), including one four-goal game against Albany on January 3, 2004.

Hartigan is currently in the top ten in six of the Crunch's all-time leaders' categories, placing first with 107 goals, 47 power play goals and 18 game-winning goals, third with 212 points, fifth with 104 assists and eighth with 220 games played. In 275 career AHL games with Chicago and Syracuse, Hartigan has tallied 122 goals, 135 assists and 331 penalty minutes. The Fort St. John, British Columbia native has also recorded 16 goals, 10 assists and 38 penalty minutes in 73 career NHL games with Atlanta and Columbus.

FARYNUK RETURNED TO DAYTON: The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have returned on loan defenseman Brad Farynuk to Dayton (ECHL).

Farynuk, 25, has appeared in five games with Syracuse this season, recording two penalty minutes. In 26 games with Dayton this season, Farynuk has registered 1 goal, 10 assists and 23 penalty minutes. A native of Enderby, British Columbia, Farynuk was signed by Syracuse this off-season.

MOTZKO NET FIRST: Right wing scored his first NHL goal on January 16 against Chicago's Nikolai Khabibulin, in the Blue Jackets 5-4 overtime victory. Before joining the Crunch on January 20, the Bemidji, Minnesota native had a seven game stint with the Blue Jackets. Prior to his recall on January 2 he had tallied 10 points in six of seven games (4g, 6a).
