AHL announces suspension

January 23, 2007 - American Hockey League (AHL) News Release


SPRINGFIELD, Mass. . The American Hockey League today announced that Albany River Rats forward Cody McCormick has been suspended for two (2) regular-season games as a result of his actions during an AHL game vs. the Syracuse Crunch on Jan. 19.

McCormick received a match penalty for high-sticking in the first period of the game.

McCormick missed Albany's game on Saturday (Jan. 20) vs. Philadelphia, and will also miss Wednesday's game (Jan. 24) vs. Syracuse.
