Gwinnett Stripers Homestand Highlights: July 30-August 5

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Gwinnett Stripers square off against International League South Division rivals Durham and Norfolk for a seven-game homestand at Coolray Field from Monday, July 30 through Sunday, August 5.

The Durham Bulls, Triple-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, make their final visit to Lawrenceville this season for a four-game series. Among the weekly ticket promotions offered is Reel Deal Tuesday on July 31, through which all Dugout seats are two for the price of one.

The Norfolk Tides, Triple-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, return to Coolray Field for a three-game set beginning Friday, August 3. That night, the Stripers will be hosting Ellen Night, paying homage to famous Ellen's throughout history with special on-field promotions, giveaways and a Buy One, Get One ticket deal for anyone named Ellen. The game will be followed by a Fireworks display.

On Saturday, August 4, join the Stripers in celebrating mascot Chopper the Groundhog's birthday. In addition to festivities including other local team mascots, the Stripers will give away Chopper Bobbleheads to the first 2,500 fans through the gates, presented by Georgia Power. The night will be capped with a Fireworks show.

Features:

Military Monday - Active or retired military members will receive two Infield Box seats for the price of one when they present their military ID card at the Ticket Office. On-field promotions will be military inspired.

Nominate an active or retired military member to be recognized as our Hometown Hero at the military table on the main concourse, or online at GoStripers.com.

Fans can write "thank you" cards to military personnel that will be delivered both domestically and overseas.

Chopper Bobblehead Giveaway - Chopper's first bobblehead in Stripers gear is a big catch! The first 2,500 fans through the gates will receive a Chopper Bobblehead, presented by Georgia Power.

Sunday, August 5

Features:

Sunday Funday (presented by Georgia United Credit Union) - Fans are invited to play catch on the field before the game starting at 12:05 p.m. and lasting approximately 20 minutes. Before and during the game, fans can get their faces painted. And after the game, kids (ages 12 and under) are welcome to run the bases to cap "Sunday Funday" presented by Georgia United Credit Union!

Breathless Blowout (presented by Breathless IPF) - Minor League Baseball and Boehringer Ingelheim are teaming up to raise awareness of the rare lung disease idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Fans exiting the stadium will receive bubblegum pieces and information cards about IPF.
