Anchorage, Alaska - The Utah Grizzlies defeated the Alaska Aces 4-1 Friday night at Sullivan Arena.

The Utah win snapped Alaska's six-game winning streak overall and their eight-game winning streak at home that was started after a 5-2 loss to Utah on October 19. The Grizzlies improved to 9-9-1-1 on the year and 4-2-1-1 in their last eight games.

Utah led from the 3:24 mark of the first period and never looked back as Mitch Wahl and Riley Armstrong fed Josh Burrows up ice as he buried a shot in transition from the right circle.

Utah made it 2-0 just 5:13 later at 8:37 on the power-play just moments after killing Alaska's first power-play of the night. Riley Armstrong navigated into the slot and fired a shot that was hammered in off of a rebound by Ian Schultz for his first goal in a Grizzlies uniform. Wahl picked up another assist on the play for his fourth multiple-point game in the last five contests.

Alaska started the second period with a goal 1:56 into the frame but Utah regained their two-goal lead just 30 seconds later 2:26 into the second period. Kory Falite skated into the left circle on an odd-man rush and dropped the puck to Mark Isherwood who joined the play and buried the goal. Colin Vock picked up an assist as well.

Utah kept Alaska off of the board in the third period and added an insurance goal on another odd-man rush 9:35 into the frame. Falite took the puck up ice and Chris Donovan knocked in a Gaelan Patterson shot for his third of the year to make it 4-1.

Grizzlies goaltender Grant Rollheiser stopped 25 of 26 shots in the game to improve to 4-2-0-1.
