Utah Grizzlies News Release

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies will make an appearance Friday afternoon at the new Dixie Igloo Ice Centre in St. George to help celebrate the grand opening of the first rink in the southern Utah city.

The Grizzlies are proud to be the ECHL affiliate for both the NHL's New York Islanders and Calgary Flames.

The Grizzlies will skate with fans, sign autographs and distribute pocket schedules during a short pit stop as they make their way to Las Vegas for games Saturday and Sunday against the Wranglers. The team's anticipated arrival at the Dixie Igloo is anticipated between 4 and 5 p.m. The rink is located on the corner of Tabernacle and 200 West in The Historic St. George Town Square.

"We are excited to share in the excitement and celebrate the hard work and dedication of everyone who accomplished the extended project of bringing ice to St George," said Grizzlies Vice President of Communications and Broadcasting Adrian Denny. "The opening of the rink has taken the city by storm and as the state's only professional hockey team, we are ecstatic to have the opportunity to stop off for a quick visit to show our support of skating and hockey throughout Utah."

The Grizzlies return to the E-Center tonight to host Victoria at 6:05 p.m.
