A divisional match-up will ring in the New Year at Wings Stadium, as the Kalamazoo Wings host the Cincinnati Cyclones during the 8th Annual New Year's Eve Bash presented by COOL 101 and WWMT News Channel 3. On the season, Kalamazoo is 2-3-1-0 against Cincinnati.
Looking to end the calendar year on a high-note, the K-Wings enter Wings Stadium looking to snap a three-game winless streak (0-1-2-0). With 36 points, Kalamazoo is in third place, one point behind the Cyclones for second and trail the first place Toledo Walleye by two points.
Snapping victory from the jaws of defeat last Sunday, Cincinnati narrowly escaped Wings Stadium with a 3-2 overtime victory last Sunday. The Cyclones, who have won 11 of their last 15 games and an impressive five straight on the road, trail the Walleye by one point for first place in the North Division.

Kalamazoo will play their final game of a season-high eight-game home stand thisThursday during the 8th Annual New Year's Eve Bash. The K-Wings, who are 3-2-2-0 during their current home stretch, own a record of 3-2-0-2 during the New Year's Eve Bash.
Cleaver Out, Daavettila In
On Tuesday, forward Rick Cleaver headed to the AHL for the second time this season when he was loaned to the Syracuse Crunch. Less than 24 hours later, K-Wings received forward Trent Daavettila back from the Adirondack Phantoms.
Mason Returns
After missing last week due to injury, defenseman Jeff Mason has been activated from the K-Wings' 3-Day IR. In a separate transaction, the K-Wings have placed Blake Friesen on the 3-Day IR.
Ending a Streak
Kalamazoo will hit the ice on Thursday looking to snap a three-game winless streak (0-1-2-0). The three-game streak matches their longest winless streak of the season.
