Elmira's Gallant Fined
December 31, 2009 - ECHL (ECHL) News Release
PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced that it has fined Elmira forward Brett Gallant an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL game #301 at Reading on Dec. 29.
Gallant was assessed a minor penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct, a major penalty for fighting and a Game Misconduct - Aggressor at 18:36 of the second period.
He is fined under Rule 29 Supplemental Discipline.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
