Springfield Recalls Thunder Rw Kelly Czuy

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, the proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers and American Hockey League's Springfield Falcons, has announced right winger Kelly Czuy (CHOO-ee) has been recalled from the Thunder to Springfield.

In 16 games this season, Czuy has scored six points (2g-4a) and totaled 14 penalty minutes for Stockton.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound forward is currently under contract to Springfield and in 26 career AHL games with Springfield, Iowa and Manitoba, he has collected four assists and notched four penalty minutes.

Czuy has suited up in 166 career games as a pro in five seasons (2005-10) with the Thunder, Las Vegas Wranglers, Springfield, Iowa and Manitoba, scoring 80 points (33g-47a) and posting 215 penalty minutes. He should be available for the Falcons next game on Jan. 2 against the Providence Bruins (4:30 p.m. PT).

The Thunder returns to play tonight to begin a four-game road trip, beginning at 6:10 p.m. against the Idaho Steelheads at Qwest Arena. The game can be heard on radio at 1420 KSTN and viewed online at www.stocktonthunder.com, courtesy of B2 Networks (audio is free of charge).
