Best Performance In Grizzlies History
Brad Herauf's four-goal performance Saturday was the most goals ever recorded in a game in the 13-year history of the Grizzlies. Several players over the years have recorded three goals in one game. The second-year Grizzlies forward is tied for third in the ECHL with seven goals.
Herauf Last Year
Last year, Herauf led the ECHL with 344 penalty minutes. This season, he has just 19 PIMs in eight games. The fourth-year professional has also become a fixture on the Grizzlies power-play unit and was named an assistant captain for the team prior to the season. Herauf also had an "A" on his sweater during the second-half of last year.
Scorer Kinasewich Returns And Scores Some More
Ryan Kinasewich, who last year finished tied for the ECHL lead with 39 goals scored and led Utah with 85 points made his 2006-2007 debut this weekend at Idaho. He finished with one goal and three assists in the three games.
Matt The Moose
Second-year Utah forward and ECHL All-Star Matt Craig was recalled to the AHL's Manitoba Moose prior to Saturday's game at Idaho. Craig left Utah with a three-game scoring streak (one goal and three assists). Last season, while playing seven games in Manitoba (one goal, one assist) and battling injuries, the Quinnipiac University product had 27 goals and 27 assists in 59 games for the Grizzlies.
Four-Game Unbeaten Streak Ends
With a 5-4 loss Saturday in Idaho, Utah's longest unbeaten streak of the season ended at four games.
Grizzlies Going For Payback Versus Alaska
The ECHL's Kelly Cup Champion Alaska Aces return to the E-Center this week for the first time since eliminating Utah from the playoffs last season in four games.
