BOMBERS NOTES
*Packed House! The Bombers lead the ECHL in average attendance, after seeing 9,989 fans pack the Nutter Center for their home opener last Saturday. The Bombers did not disappoint the home crowd, defeating the Florida Everblades 4-2 in the first ever meeting between the two teams.
*The Penalty Killers! The Bombers have killed off 31 out of 35 (88.6%) of their opponents power plays in the first four games this season. They are currently ranked 3rd overall in the ECHL with that mark.
* First and Foremost! The Bombers have scored 5 of their 7 total goals in the first period alone. The Bombers are 2-0 against their opponents when scoring the first goal and are also 2-0 when they have the lead after the first and second periods.
* Bombs Away! The Bombers have out shot their opponents 123-113 through four games this season. They have also been able to shut opposing offenses down, ranking 2nd in the ECHL in shots allowed per game, only yielding 28.5.
LOOK OUT BELOW
* The Puck Stops Here! Bombers goaltender Adam Berkhoel ranks in the top five in all goaltending statistical categories in the ECHL. His 1.67 GAA is third, his two wins are tied for fourth and his .943 save percentage also ranks third. Berkhoel has both the Bombers victories on this young season.
* IMPORTANT WEEK AHEAD! Dayton returns to the ice this Friday and Saturday night, as they take on the Trenton Titans in Sovereign Bank Arena at 7:30 on Friday and 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Trenton is 5-2 on the season and has played three more games than the Bombers already.
