Wranglers host Victoria Tuesday, Phoenix Friday

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers ® posted a 1-0-1 record this past week with both games at the Orleans Arena against the Victoria Salmon Kings. Friday night, Las Vegas won 4-2 and Saturday night the Wranglers fell 5-4 in overtime.

This Tuesday, Las Vegas will wrap up a three-game series with the Salmon Kings at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena. Friday night Las Vegas will end a four-game home stand by hosting the Phoenix Roadrunners. On Friday night, the first 5,000 fans receive a Wranglers' Mouspad schedule compliments of Buffalo Wild Wings. On Saturday, the Wranglers will start a seven-game road trip at 7:00 pm in Bakersfield. Sunday, Las Vegas will play at 5:00 pm in Long Beach.

Victoria 2 at Las Vegas 4

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Victoria Salmon Kings 4-2 Friday night in front of 5,892 fans at the Orleans Arena. Center Chris Neiszner scored a shorthanded goal with 5:21 remaining in the third period to give Las Vegas the win. Four different Wranglers scored in a third-period comeback, leading Las Vegas past the Salmon Kings and improving to 13-0-1 all-time against Victoria. Forwards Steve Crampton, Tyler Mosienko, Neiszner, and Nick Anderson each scored for Las Vegas in the victory. Goalie Julien Ellis made 34 saves for Victoria in the loss.

Victoria 5 at Las Vegas 4 OT

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated by the Victoria Salmon Kings 5-4 in overtime on Saturday night in front of 5,089 fans at the Orleans Arena. Victoria's David Wrigley scored the game-winning goal with 1:22 remaining in overtime, giving the Salmon Kings the 5-4 victory. Four different Wranglers scored in the loss. Goalie Kevin Nastiuk made 32 saves on 37 shots in his first appearance for Las Vegas. Victoria's Julien Ellis made 39 saves on 43 shots to pick up his first professional win.

Victoria Salmon Kings - (2-4-1, 5 Points, 5th Place, West Division) -

The Victoria Salmon Kings are led by defenseman Steve Lingren. Last year's ECHL All-Star is already among the league leaders in power-play assists with four on the season. Overall, Lingren has five points in seven games played. Winger Wes Goldie leads the Salmon Kings with four goals and three assists for seven points in six games played. F.P. Guenette has four goals and two assists for six points in six games. Guenette has two goals and an assist in two games against Las Vegas. Las Vegas is 13-0-2 all-time against the Kings.

Phoenix Roadrunners - (3-5-0, 6 Points, 3rd Place, West Division) -

Forward Scott May leads the Roadrunners in scoring this season. May is currently tied for fourth overall in the ECHL scoring race with five goals and seven assists for 12 points on the season. May is also tied for third overall with four goals on the power play, and has had a point in all but one of the Roadrunners games this season. Winger Yannick Tifu is second on the team in scoring this season with two goals and six assists for eight points. Phoenix is winless in their last two games. Las Vegas leads the all-time series with a 9-0-1 mark.

Bakersfield Condors - (4-3-1, 9 Points, 4th Place, Pacific Division) -

Las Vegas will travel to Bakersfield immediately following the game on Friday night. The Condors are led this season by Andrew Ianiero with three goals and six assists for nine points. Bakersfield goalie Jamie Hodson is 3-1-1 with a 3.68 goals against average and a .901 save percentage. Winger Sean Venedam is second on the Condors in scoring with three goals and four assists for seven points. The Condors lead the Pacific division with 234 penalty minutes this season. Las Vegas is 19-5-1 all-time against Bakersfield. This will be the first of seven meetings this season between the two teams.

Long Beach Ice Dogs - (0-7-1, 1 Point, 5th Place, Pacific Division) -

The Long Beach Ice Dogs are led in scoring by two rookies, forwards T.J. Trevelyan and Chris Collins. Trevelyan is currently tied for fifth in rookie scoring in the ECHL with five goals and two assists for seven points. Collins is one point behind Trevelyan in the rookie scoring race with three goals and three assists for six points. Long Beach's Alex Kim is tied for fourth in the ECHL with three power-play goals this season. Long Beach goalie Mike Brown is 0-4-1 with a 3.27 goals against average and a .889 save percentage. The Wranglers lead the all-time series with a 13-7-2 mark. This will be the first of seven meetings this season between the division rivals.
