
Grizzlies Hold On 6-5 Friday Night

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies (19-16-0-3) defeated the Phoenix RoadRunners 6-5 Friday night at the E-Center. Tyler Haskins recorded his second consecutive hat trick with three goals and one assist. Ryan Kinasewich added four assists.
For the second-straight game, Phoenix jumped to an early 1-0 lead with Peder Skinner scoring 2:26 into the period. The Grizzlies answered less than a minute later with Justin Johnson's second goal of the year. Phoenix went up 2-1 at 7:37 with another goal from Peder Skinner.
The Grizzlies responded with five consecutive goals in less than twenty minutes to build a 5-2 lead. Tyler Haskins and James Sanford scored to complete the first and the Grizzlies left the final 20 minutes up 3-2.
In the second period, the Grizzlies scored three goals in the first 8:46 of the period to make the score 5-2 as Tyler Haskins completed his hat trick and James Sanford scored another power-play goal.
6-4 with 3:07 left in the game, Nathan Gillies scored for Phoenix to make the game 6-5.
Following a Phoenix time out with 1:20 left, the Grizzlies never let the RoadRunners get another shot on goal.
Mike Mole stopped 30 of 35 shots in the game for his tenth win of the year.
Utah and Phoenix complete their series Saturday at the E-Center with the Grizzlies going for three-straight. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
