Grizzlies Hold On 2-1 Versus Bakersfield

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies (27-20-0-6) defeated the Bakersfield Condors 2-1 Friday night at the E-Center.
Utah went up 1-0 7:26 into the first period with Ryan Kinasewich setting up Olivier Labelle for his 21st goal of the year. Bakersfield countered 22 seconds later to tie the game at one.
Ryan Kinasewich got the game-winning goal 12:03 into the second on a shorthanded goal. James Sanford freed the puck in his own end and kicked it to Keith Johnson who then advanced the puck to Kinasewich.
Mike Mole stopped 23 of 24 shots in the game for his 16th win of the year.
The Grizzlies complete their three-game-in-three-night series with Bakersfield Saturday at the E-Center. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The game is the team's annual "Pooch on the Pond" game with fans invited to bring their dogs to the game. Visit www.utahgrizzlies.com for more information.
