Grizzlies Hit the Road, Back Home November 19
October 25, 2010 - ECHL (ECHL)
Utah Grizzlies News Release
It's Still Early, But.....
Through four games, the Grizzlies are 2-1-1-0, their best four-game start start since the 2001-2002 season.
Boarding The Bus
The Grizzlies now hit the road for eight-straight games over the next three weeks. Boise, Las Vegas and Bakersfield are on the itinerary for Utah.
Snetsinger Leads The Way
Brad Snetsinger leads Utah with three goals and four assists for seven points in four games. Snetsinger has multiple-points in two of Utah's last three games. Scoring is not unfamiliar to the third-year pro, who totaled 49 points in 48 games during his only other ECHL season as a rookie with Trenton in 2008-2009.
Power-Play Hits Stride
The Utah power-play went four for eight Saturday night, including four for their first five as they were awarded seven-straight power-play situations to start the game. Four power-play goals was one off of the all-time team record of five power-play goals. Utah last scored five power-play goals in a game Janaury 5, 2007 in Alaska.
Getting Everyone Going
Four Utah players in: Ric Jackman, Michael Gergen, Paul Crowder and Mason Graddock scored their first points of the year in Saturday's 6-4 win over Bakersfield. Graddock was making his professional debut. In addition, tallying two assists, Tim Crowder added his first multiple-point game of the year.
Scoring First
The Grizzlies have allowed the opposition to score first in the first four games to start the year. However, in three of the four games, Utah has battled back to even the score at one.
Shooting The Puck
Utah outshot Bakersfield by a combined total of 78-42 in two games this weekend. The Grizzlies definitely gelled offensively after being outshot 75-45 in the first two games of the year in Alaska.
Next At Home
The Grizzlies return to Maverik Center Friday, November 19 and Saturday, November 20 to host Alaska. Friday is the first of two "Pack the House" nights. All tickets for the game will be available for $5 when fans present a receipt from Maverik at the arena box office when purchasing tickets.
