ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades took to the road for the first time on the season for three games this past week. The Everblades finished the trip with a 1-2-0 record. Overall, the Everblades enter this week's action with a record of 2-3-0 (4 pts., 2nd South Division.)

Wednesday, Friday & Saturday, October 27, 29 & 30 vs. Kalamazoo Wings Wed. & Fri. 7:30 p.m.; Sat. 7:00 p.m.

GAME NOTES: The Everblades return home for a quick three-game home stand against the K-Wings this week. The games are the first of five between the two teams and are the only three between the clubs at Germain Arena this season. Last season the two teams met for the first time in their histories with Florida posting a record of 3-0-2 vs. Kalamazoo, including going 2-0-1 at home. Kalamazoo enters this week with a record of 3-0-0 (6 pts., 2nd North Div.)

LAST WEEK'S RECAP

Thursday, October 21 at Greenville Road Warriors 4-1 Loss

The Everblades suffered a 4-1 loss at Greenville in their first road game of the season. The Everblades picked up their long goal from Alex Imbeault 22 seconds into the second period. The game went into the third period tied 1-1 but after an injury forced Everblades starting goalie Bobby Goepfert from the game 4:44 into the final period, the Road Warriors jumped on backup goalie Jaroslav Janus for three goals. Goepfert finished the night with 33 saves, while Janus took the loss allowing the three third period goals on five shots. Florida Special Teams: PP: 0-of-4; PK: 2-of-2.

Friday, October 22 at Greenville Road Warriors 7-6 OT Win

The Everblades played their wildest game of the season this past Friday night, erasing a 5-3 Greenville lead heading into the third period to come from behind and win in overtime on Bobby Raymond's first goal of the season. The Everblades picked up a hat-trick from Alex Imbeault and saw Matt Pistilli chip in four points (1g, 3a). Mitch Fadden added three assists in the winning effort as well. The other Florida goals came off the sticks of Mike Kennedy and Mathieu Roy. In goal Jaroslav Janus earned his first win as an Everblade stopping 35 shots. Florida Special Teams: PP: 2-of-7; PK: 4-of-6.

Saturday, October 23 at Gwinnett Gladiators 5-2 Loss

The Everblades finished off their road trip with a tough 5-2 loss at Gwinnett. The teams traded goals through the first two periods with both Everblade goals coming from Alex Imbeault, including one on the power play. Gwinnett took control of the game with three third period goals including two 44 seconds apart four minutes into the frame. In goal Jaroslav Janus took the loss allowing four goals on 19 shots to see his record drop to 1-2-0. Florida Special Teams: PP: 1-of-5; PK: 2-of-3.

Player of the Week Nominee: The Everblades' Player of the Week Nominee is forward Alex Imbeault who finished the week with points in all three games, including a hat-trick in Florida's 7-6 OT win on Friday. Overall Imbeault finished with six goals, three of which were on the power play.

Approaching Milestones: Here's a look at Everblades that are approaching milestones in the careers: D Trevor Hendrikx is five points away from 100 in his professional career...F Mathieu Roy is three games shy from skating in his 200th career game...F Alex Imbeault needs two assists to reach 100 in his career and is 13 games away from playing in his 200th career game...D Mike Egener finds himself 28 games away from playing in his 300th career game...F Ross Carlson needs to play in 11 more games to reach 200 in his career...F Vladimir Nikiforov is 11 points away from picking up 100 in his career.

Who's Hot: Everblades forward Alex Imbeault is currently riding a four-game point scoring streak (6g, 1a) and has picked up at least one goal in three straight games...F Mitch Fadden has picked up an assist in three straight games, six total.

Upcoming Promotions: Here's a look at the upcoming promotions for this week's games: Wednesday the 27th is the first "Dollar Deal Wednesday!" where fans can get $1 hot dogs and $1 domestic draft beers from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. On Friday the 29th it's our annual salute to our hard working men and women of the military with our Military Night. All current and former military that show ID at the box office get in for just $5. Finally on Saturday the Everblades will celebrate Halloween at Germain Arena! All kids 12-under with a paying adult will get in for Free! Then kids will have the opportunity to Trick-or-Treat through the suites at Germain Arena during the first intermission!
