West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies fan Brian Groves won a 2014 Nissan Altima from Tim Dahle Nissan during the first intermission of Monday's 2-1 Grizzlies overtime win before 6,196 fans at Maverik Center.

In the third year of the promotion, Mr. Groves is the 250th contestant to fire a puck from the opposite blue line 120 feet down ice into a slot roughly the size of a puck.

"It was unreal, I was just hoping to hit the net," said Groves. "My kids play hockey and we practice behind the house, but I've never been on the ice."

Each game, during the first intermission, fans get an opportunity to shoot for an oil change and a new car. Mr. Groves was unable to accomplish the clean sweep, by securing the oil change.

"We're really happy someone was able to finally make it," said Rich Lucy from Tim Dahle Nissan. "We will continue this promotion at every first intermission and encourage fans to come on down to our store at 4528 South State Street to register for their chance."

The Grizzlies open three-games in four nights on the road, starting Wednesday in Idaho. Face-off is at 7:10 p.m.

Utah returns home Friday, November 29 and Saturday, November 30 for Thanksgiving weekend action at Maverik Center with San Francisco. Face-off is at 7 p.m.
