
Condors Make Slew of Moves; Add Three New Faces

Bakersfield Condors News Release
CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, announced today that the team has signed F Austin Mayer, F Matt Thurber and D Kyle Follmer. Also, the team claimed F C.J. Lee off waivers from Gwinnett and suspended him. Finally, C Ryan Garlock has been placed on the 21-day IR.
MAYER "MAY-er"
25 years old, 6'0", 190 lbs., from Providence, Rhode Island Played two games this season with StocktonSpent last season with Fort Worth of the Central Hockey League (CHL) and in 52 games, registered 37 points (13g-24a)Split his collegiate career between Providence (two seasons) and Colgate (two seasons)His best season was his senior year with the Raiders, playing 39 games and notching 23 points (8g-15a), good for fourth on the team.
THURBER "THUR-ber"
24 years old, 5'9", 190 lbs., from Beaver Dam, Wisconsin Played two seasons at the University of Wisconsin before transferring to Northern Michigan With the Wildcats, recorded back-to-back 30 point seasons, including leading the team in scoring with 32 points (6g-26a) his senior season Impressive junior career in the United States Hockey League (USHL) with Omaha as he played 169 games and tallied 36 goals with 85 assists for 121 points
FOLLMER "FULL-mur"
26 years old, 5'11", 200 lbs., from St. Paul, Minnesota Teammate of Thurber's at Northern Michigan, where he played four seasonsNotched double-digit point totals each season with the Wildcats and led all team defensemen in scoring his junior season with 26 points (4g-22a) in 36 gamesLed all d-men in scoring with the USHL's Sioux City (14-1832) in in 2005-06 and Lincoln in goals (21) in 2006-07

The team returns to home ice on Tuesday, Nov. 26 against the San Francisco Bulls for Canned Food Drive Night, sponsored by La Preciosa 105.3. Get a $1 ticket with the donation of two non-perishable food items. Also, in honor of the release of "Hunger Games: Catching Fire", bring your ticket from any showing of the film at Maya Cinemas and receive $1 admission to the game.
