Ontario's DaSilva Named Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Dan DaSilva of the Ontario Reign is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Nov. 11-17.
The Reign are the first team this season to have both the Player of the Week and the Goaltender of the Week ( Michael Hutchinson ) in the same week.
DaSilva scored three goals, added nine assists and was a +7 last week, helping lead the Reign to a 4-0-1 record in the final five games of their seven-game road trip.
The 28-year-old tallied an assist in a 3-2 shootout loss at Utah on Monday, had three assists in a 6-5 overtime win at Idaho on Wednesday and added two assists in a 4-1 win at Stockton on Friday. He ended the week with back-to-back three-point games, tallying two goals and an assist in a 4-2 victory at Bakersfield on Saturday and scoring a goal and adding two assists in a 3-1 win at San Francisco on Sunday.
A native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, DaSilva leads the ECHL this season with 19 assists, 26 points and eight power-play assists while ranking third with eight power-play points.
DaSilva has recorded 89 points (31g-58a) in 84 career ECHL games with Ontario and Phoenix. He has also appeared in 322 career games in the American Hockey League with Houston, Worcester, Lake Erie, Albany and Lowell, recording 168 points (74g-94a).
On behalf of Dan DaSilva, a case of pucks will be donated to an Ontario youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 29,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
