TODAY'S MATCHUP: Today will feature a battle for first place in the North Division as the Evansville IceMen are in town for the 2013 Education in Hockey Day. The Cyclones demolished their Hoosier State foes 7-0 to open their season series on November 1 and now own an all-time record of 9-4-0-1 against the IceMen. They are 6-2 all-time against Evansville at 100 Broadway.

SCOUTING THE ICEMEN: Jeff Pyle's club has earned points in nine of its last 10 games and has pulled into a tie for the top spot in the North Division with Cincinnati. They've found success by playing some great defensive hockey, allowing the third fewest goals of any team in the Eastern Conference. Matt Schepke paces the IceMen in scoring this season, collecting 11 points (4 goals, 7 assists) in 10 games. Matt Lowry and Mike Seidel have also found offensive success, notching eight points apiece. Mike Clemente has seen the bulk of the workload between the pipes, although he was not in net against Cincinnati earlier this month. So far this season, Clemente is 7-0-0-2 with an impressive 2.18 goals-against average.

About Saturday Night in Kalamazoo: A three goal second period for the Wings helped propel the home team to a 5-2 win over the Cyclones in front of 2,628 at Wings Stadium. Teddy Ruth and Logan Shaw both potted their first goals as a member of the Cyclones while Vinny Saponari earned a pair of assists. Michael Houser made a season-high 38 saves in the defeat.

Extra Good in the Extra Session: The Cyclones have the most OT/SO points of any team in the ECHL, going 4-0 when playing beyond 60 minutes. Three of their four bonus hockey wins have come via the shootout.

Divisional Strength: The Cyclones are playing some of their best hockey against their North Division counterparts. They are 6-2 vs. the "North" and have outscored them 34-26 during those games.

Give 'Em A Gold Star: Cincinnati has enjoyed some great success in their Education in Hockey Day contests. Since 2006, they are 4-0-1 when hosting a morning game at U.S. Bank Arena.
