Grizzlies Fall 7-6 In Shootout To Idaho

West Valley City, Utah - The Idaho Steelheads defeated the Utah Grizzlies (15-14-5-5) 7-6 Saturday night at the E-Center before a season-high of 6,711 fans. With the shootout loss, Utah extended their season-high unbeaten streak to seven games.

Utah jumped up 2-0 in the first period and led 6-3 in the third but was unable to fight off the tenacious Steelheads. Utah and Idaho have now gone past regulation in four-straight games as the Grizzlies have now played overtime in five-straight games overall.

Ryan Kinasewich led Utah with two goals and two assists for his third four-point night in the last six games as he extended his scoring streak to seven games. Linemate Rob Hennigar added three assists.

The Steelheads tied the game with a six-on-four power-play goal with 13 seconds left in regulation.

The Grizzlies and Idaho complete their three-game-in-three night set Sunday at the E-Center. Face-off is scheduled for 5:05 p.m.
