Bombers Fall To Cyclones 2-1 In O-T

CINCINNATI, OH -- The Dayton Bombers winless streak stretches to five after a 2-1 overtime loss at Cincinnati Saturday night.

After a scoreless first, the Cyclones got on the board just 25 seconds into the second on a Mark Van Guilder goal.

The Bombers tied it at 6:32 of the third on Mike McLean's fifteenth goal of the year with assists to Tomas Zaborsky and Jim Henkemeyer. It was 1-1 after regulation.

With just 8.6 left in the five-minute overtime, the Cyclones netted the game winner by Jimmy Kilpatrick on a power play goal.

Bombers' goalie Paul Drew was strong throughout saving 22 of 24 chances.

Dayton is home at the Nutter Center Tuesday night at 7:35 p.m. against Elmira. The game can be heard on 980 WONE and the B2 Networks.
