West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley announced today that the team has completed a seven player trade with the San Francisco Bulls. The ECHL trade deadline is Thursday at 1 p.m.

The Grizzlies have acquired four rookies in defenseman Cody Carlson and forwards Jordan Clendenning, Sebastien Trudeau and Jonathan Lessard.

Headed to San Francisco is defenseman Mark Isherwood and forward Kory Falite. In addition, the Montreal Canadiens have reassigned forward Ian Schultz from Utah to San Francisco.

"Heading into the final four weekends of the season, we are looking to keep adding character guys to our locker room; while adding depth," said Colley. "We have had success integrating younger players into our program over the years and are aiming to finish the season strong headed into the playoffs. We haven't had a full team since the first week in November due to injuries, but we have hung in there and found a way to stay competitive under very trying circumstances the last four months." After two deadline deals last year, Utah finished the season 8-3-0-1 and as the hottest team in the Western Conference entering the playoffs.

Carlson, 21, had five goals and 15 assists for 20 points in 40 games with San Francisco and Gwinnett this year. Half of his points came on the power-play with one goal and nine assists. "Cody will contribute on the power-play and is also solid in his own end," said Colley. "He also has no issue stepping into a situation on the ice should it become necessary."

Clendenning, 26, had four goals and 15 assists for 19 points and 110 penalty minutes in 56 games with the Bulls after four years of college where he won two championships at the University of New Brunswick. Before that, he played five years of major junior hockey in the QMJHL. "I have had my eye on Jordan all year and I know he was a favorite in San Francisco," said Colley.

Trudeau, 21, and Lessard, 22, were also teammates during major junior hockey in the QMJHL where they ranked second and third in scoring on the Acadie-Bathurst Titan in 2010-2011. They both have been in San Francisco since January. Trudeau had one goal and four assists for five points in 20 games. He also played 35 games with Bloomington of the CHL this year and had 12 goals and 14 assists for 26 points and a plus-12 to lead the team. Lessard had one goal and four assists for five points in 23 games. "Both Trudeau and Lessard bring skill and they will have a chance to use it to score in our lineup right now," said Colley.

The trade marks the second trade in 15 days between Utah and the Bulls after the Grizzlies acquired forward Alex Tuckerman and defenseman Martin Lee on February 19.

Utah returns home for a Wild $2 Wednesday when they will host Gwinnett. There will be $2 Hot Dogs, $2 Fries, $2 Soft Drinks, $2 Draft Beers and $5 Student Tickets available to students with ID at the arena box office.

The Grizzlies also host Colorado Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m.
