
Defenseman Brett Flemming Recalled to Hershey

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, today announced that defenseman Brett Flemming has been recalled from Reading by the Capitals and assigned to Hershey. In a separate transaction, goaltender Brandon Anderson has been reassigned by the Capitals from Hershey to Reading.
This marks the sixth time this season that Flemming, a second year pro who was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, has been recalled to Hershey. He has an assist and two penalty minutes in five games with the Bears this season. Flemming has fifteen points (2g-13a) and seventy-seven penalty minutes in fifty games with Reading. For Anderson, a first year pro from Langley, British Columbia, this is the fifth time that he has been assigned to Reading. In fifteen appearances with the Royals this season, he has compiled a record of 8-6-0-1 with a 3.05 goals against average and a .880 save percentage with two shutouts. Anderson has yet to appear in an AHL game.
The Royals take on the Orlando Solar Bears for the third straight time at Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania on Friday, March 8 @ 7:05 pm. That night we will have Slapshot's Birthday celebration presented by the Miller Law Group. The first 1000 fans eighteen years of age and older that night will receive a travel mug courtesy of the Perfetto Insurance Agency. The game day broadcast will kick off on CBS Sports Radio 1240 am and 98.5 fm at 6:35 pm with the Pre-Game Warm-Up Show presented by Steve Moyer Subaru.
