Bakersfield Condors News Release
CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors begin the final month of the regular season on Dignity Health Home Ice at Rabobank Arena with two games this weekend. On Friday, the ZOOperstars! bring their crazy antics to Condorstown to entertain children of all ages. Then, the weekend wraps up on Saturday with the first-ever DUAL Bobbleheads giveaway of goalies Scott Greenham and Brian Stewart.
The ZOOperstars! have long been a tradition in Condorstown and they make their return with some fresh new faces on Friday presented by 101.5 KGFM & Dignity Health Mercy and Memorial Hospitals. Come see the wild and crazy antics of the 10-foot tall featured performers Peyton Manatee, Tim Tebull, Squidney Crosby, Bear Bonds, Derek Cheetah, and Shark McGwire. You will not want to miss all the fun and excitement. To find out more on the ZOOperstars! visit their website by clicking here.
Friday night is a Dignity Health Mercy and Memorial Hospitals & Diamond Technologies T.H.I.N.K. Night. The Turn Hockey Into New Knowledge Program lets students earn terrace level tickets to the game for exceptional performance.
For the first time ever in Condorstown, fans will get a DUAL Bobblehead on Saturday featuring stud goaltenders Brian Stewart and Scott Greenham presented by Fox Sports Radio 970 & Three Way Chevrolet-Cadillac. Not only are these bobbleheads great for the kids, but we will give them away to the first 2,000 fans 5 and older meaning even the adults can get in on the fun! These bobbleheads have even been described as the most realistic looking bobbleheads ever! Get to the rink early and don't miss out on your chance to take Grenner and Stewy home with you!
Saturday is another opportunity for students from kindergarten through college to earn half-price tickets through the "B" Better Bakersfield program. All students have to do is show a recent report card showing a "B" (3.0) G.P.A. or better. Good grades gets you good seats!
The Condors will also honor Katie and Garrett Hutchins with the Spirit of Condorstown award. Katie and Garrett organized the first St. Baldrick's event in Bakersfield to help children with cancer.
