
Cincinnati's Houser Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Michael Houser of the Cincinnati Cyclones is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Feb. 25-March 3.
The 20-year-old went 3-0-0 with a 2.33 goals-against average and a .932 save percentage in three appearances last week.
Houser made 30 saves in a 7-4 win against Trenton on Tuesday, stopped 37 shots in a 3-2 victory at Kalamazoo on Friday and turned aside 29 shots in a 4-1 win over the K-Wings on Saturday.
A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Houser has won each of his last six starts and is 9-2-0 in his last 11 decisions. The first-year pro has appeared in 18 games with the Cyclones this season posting a record of 13-5-0 with one shutout, a 2.39 goals-against average and a save percentage of .929.
Under contract to the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League, Houser spent the previous three seasons with London of the Ontario Hockey League appearing in 141 games with a record of 93-38-7 with seven shutouts, a 2.90 goals-against average and a save percentage of .912. He was named OHL Goaltender of the Year and Most Outstanding Player last season after winning a career-high 46 games and leading the Knights to the OHL championship.
