Colorado Eagles News Release
LOVELAND, Colo. - With a nod to the NCAA's "March Madness" basketball tournament, University of Colorado Health in Northern Colorado has created its own men's health awareness month entitled "March MAN-ness" to emphasize the importance of disease prevention & early detection for men -- who typically tend to avoid health check-ups -- and the Colorado Eagles are proud to be heavily involved in the program.
March MAN-ness will feature three free panel discussions, staged in the style of a sports press conference, and presented March 5-7 in Greeley, Loveland & Ft. Collins respectively. The events will be held in locations favored by many men: a brewery (Crabtree Brewing Company), an arena (the Budweiser Events Center) and a bar (The Mayor of Old Town). Panelists will be Colorado Health Medical Group doctors from primary care, oncology, cardiology and urology -- four medical areas where men's lives are most impacted.
Each event will include complimentary food & drink, as well as sports trivia competitions and opportunities to win great prizes -- including Colorado Eagles season tickets for the 2013-14 season and special jerseys worn & signed by the hockey team! The events are free to members of the public, 21 years of age or older. Men and women are welcome. For more information, and to register, visit www.marchmanness.org .
All events are from 6-8 p.m. at the locations outlined below:
- March 5, Crabtree Brewing Company, 2961 29th Street, Greeley.
- March 6, Budweiser Events Center, 5290 Arena Circle, Loveland.
- March 7, The Mayor of Old Town, 632 South Mason Street, Fort Collins.
Those who attend the Loveland event will have an opportunity to tour the Colorado Eagles' locker room with Ralph Backstrom & Riley Nelson from 5:30-6.
For those who cannot attend, the panel discussions will be streamed live through Google+ Hangouts. [ http://uchealth.me/hyOoC ] and on-demand through UCHealth's YouTube channel [ http://www.youtube.com/poudrevalleyhealth ].
