Colorado Eagles News Release

LOVELAND, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles of the ECHL announced today the addition of rookie forward Paul Kirtland to their roster. Kirtland has played a total of seven games this season with two different ECHL clubs after spending the previous three seasons at Ohio State University.

While with the Buckeyes, the 5-foot-8-inch, 185-pound forward recorded three goals in 49 games over three seasons. He's nearly matched that production in just seven games in the ECHL, scoring a goal as a member of the Cincinnati Cyclones and as a member of the Kalamazoo Wings.

Prior to his collegiate career, Kirtland spent two seasons with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs of the NAHL, acting as one of the team's assistant captains in 2008-09, a season in which they won the West Division's regular season title. In 99 games with the Ice Dogs, he tallied 42 points (11-31-42) and 197 penalty minutes.
