Cyclones Acquire Peter Child from Wheeling

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators announced today that they have acquired defenseman Peter Child from the Wheeling Nailers in exchange for future considerations.

Child, a 25-year-old rookie, had played in 21 games during his first full year pro with the Nailers and notched a pair of assists. After completing his college career at St. Lawrence University last season, the South Burlington, Vermont native made his pro debut in Wheeling - appearing in 11 games and contributing two goals. Over his three-year stint at St. Lawrence, Child earned 35 points (13 goals, 22 assists) in 91 career contests.

The Cyclones will return to the ice at U.S. Bank Arena on Wednesday, March 6 when they welcome in the Florida Everblades at 7:30pm.
