Grizzlies Come From Behind For Fifth Straight Win

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies rallied from a 2-0 deficit and defeated the Las Vegas Wranglers 3-2 Saturday night at the E-Center in front of 7,028 fans. Utah scored three goals in 48 seconds in the final minute of the second and the first minute of the third. The Grizzlies have now won five straight games.

Brendan Cook (8) cut the deficit to 2-1 with 35 seconds left in the second period with assists going to D.J. Jelitto and Joel Irving.

D.J. Jelitto fired a shot from the blue line past Wranglers netminder Kevin Nastiuk as the buzzer sounded to end the second period. Referee Shane Warschaw conferred with fellow officials and decided to count the goal; making the game 2-2 at the second intermission.

Utah completed the scoring 16 seconds into the third period when Brad Herauf won a draw to captain Travis Rycroft who shot the puck past Nastiuk for the eventual game-winner.

Rob McVicar stopped 23 of 25 shots for the win.

The Grizzlies continue their home stand Wednesday at the E-Center when they welcome in Idaho. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
